Scroggins & Rose–Saturday, May 21

Scroggins & Rose is Nashville based mandolinist Tristan Scroggins and Bay Area violinist Alisa Rose.

Tristan frequently plays on the Grand Ol’ Opry and was awarded the prestigious Instrumentalist of the Year Momentum Award by the International Bluegrass Music Association in 2017.

Alisa was nominated for a Grammy for her work with Quartet San Francisco and served as an ambassador of the U.S. State Department with the Real Vocal String Quartet.

Combine these two lifetimes of musical commitment and exploration and you get contemporary roots music with the expression and detail of classical music, the drive of fiddle music, and the thrilling virtuosity of both traditions.
