Sam Reider & The Human Hands

Sam Reider is a Latin GRAMMY-nominated accordionist, pianist and composer. His work combines diverse influences, from jazz and folk tunes to originals. His performances have been featured on NPR, PBS and the BBC. Reider has performed, recorded and collaborated with artists including Jon Batiste, Jorge Glem, Sierra Hull, Laurie Lewis, and Paquito d’Rivera. The genre-bending acoustic ensemble The Human Hands’ music ranges from a “mash-up of the the Klezmatics, Quintette du Hot Club de France and the Punch Brothers.” (Songlines Magazine). The New York Times calls it “modern folk music with saxophone and accordion.” The group has evolved into a ground-breaking instrumental collective featuring a cast of some of the brightest names in bluegrass, jazz and acoustic music.
