Kendl Winter—Saturday, December 12 door opens at 7, music at 7:30
Kendl Winter’s been coming to Fifth Street since we first opened the door years ago. Having met her with the Blackberry Bushes, a terrific old-time string band, at Strawberry Music Festival one dark and stormy night, we’ve never had too much of her terrific banjo and guitar playing, tasteful singing, great original songwriting, good humor and eclectic sensibility. She mostly plays in a banjo duo (actually a successful business model) called The Lowest Pair, and tonight she’s solo. Listen to some tunes here.
